First Stop of the Thousand More

The nice thing about traveling is seeing new places, meeting new people that eventually become your friends and discovering things you never know about yourself. There are a lot of things on traveling that actually excites me. From the planning, the packing, and the experience itself. My first out of the country travel experience, SINGAPORE! (Saying the place itself still excites me til now)

We stayed in B88 hotel in Jln Besar. Pretty much close to the train station and shopping centers. The hotel is clean and cozy. It feels like you're living in your own place. And something really unique about this hotel is their capsule beds.
"Pagkatapos po gamitin ang kutsara tinidor baso at lahat, Lahat po ay pakihugasan at pakibalik sa tamang lagayan" on this picture says. Can you believe it? That's Filipino in their kitchen area!

The living room is just across the kitchen. You can fairly enjoy watching while eating.
This is what they called their "capsule bed". It has its own sockets and drawers with locks in it. How cool is that?

Our first day was pretty much just rest and sleep. The next day however we had a lot of fun touring the city and shopping in Malaysia. You got that right, MALAYSIA! The 2 countries are fairly near. We just took 15-20 minute bus ride from the city to get there.

I forgot what is this called. But it's spicy! YUM!
After our shopping from Malaysia, we went to Marina Bay Sands. The ever famous "tourist spot". We also tried the Hainanese chicken rice and I'll bet my diet on it, it's delicious!

The final days were spent touring Sentosa. We went to Adventure Cove and Universal Studios and I think we just found the love of our life. Tall, not dark but colorful, can't say he's handsome but he can definitely kill.

"You're gonna here me ROAAAAAAR!"

Something to check out. Singapore has a really humid weather. This is something we had for dessert for 2 consecutive days. Yes you can see it's just an ice with a fruit salad on top but the syrup they put in it, oh! a very good deal for someone who has a sweet tooth like me. And it's cheap. It's around 1.2 SGD.

Thank God for relatives abroad, we didn't spend much on food for the whole week of our stay there. We love the chili crab here. It's relatively expensive though but like what I said, thank God for relatives abroad.

It's my first out of the country experience and it's definitely worth every penny spent. Most of all, I am with my best friend. It's always nice to have someone who enjoys the same thing as you do. The eating, traveling, randomly waking up at 3AM roaming around looking for food *smirks*, shopping, swimming, almost everything. This is our first voyage. Wait for our next trip and who knows, we may reach to Europe on our next travel. *winks*
